Are you wondering why that drain clog won’t go away? Or it does disappear, but then keeps coming back. The problem often lies in your sewer line. There is likely a large blockage due to tree roots or heavy corrosion, or there is damage to the pipe (cracks or leaks). A lingering sewer line problem can quickly escalate to overflowing drains and significant water damage in your home.
Fitzgerald Plumbing provides accurate sewer inspection services for Lakewood residents. We use video pipe technology that gives us a clear view of your sewer line. We’ll get around every bend of the pipeline to identify the problem; this also allows us to accurately assess the health of your sewer line. Once we know what’s causing your drain problems, you receive options for drain cleaning, sewer repair, or sewer replacement – what we recommend will depend on the extent of the problem.
A sewer inspection is not only for homeowners with drain problems. Others who benefit from this service include homebuyers who want to check the health of the plumbing before moving into their new home, as well as proactive homeowners who want the peace of mind of reliable plumbing.

The Inspection Process
The sewer inspection process starts with a discussion. We’ll talk to you about the problem, what you’ve been noticing, and go over any concerns you have. Then we’ll get to work.
A special video camera is fed into the sewer line. The rod carrying the camera is flexible enough to turn with the pipeline, ensuring a complete inspection. We track everything above ground using our monitor system. You can even look along with us and see what’s affecting your pipes – all in real time.
This accurate video inspection allows us to see just exactly what is creating your drain issues. We’ll be able to tell if it’s a blockage, a crack in the pipe, or another problem. Video inspection technology is so convenient because it saves you the hassle of excavation – no one wants to see their yard dug up!
After the inspection is complete, we will go over your options to resolving the problem. Depending on the problem, we may recommend drain snaking, hydrojetting, sewer repair (trenchless is available), or repiping. Our goal is to provide you with as much information and advice as possible, so you can make the best decision for your home. We never carry out service until we have your approval.
